Buy Apps for A Child's Phone

I'm not sure how I can buy an app and then install it on my daughter's phone.  I've been poking around in my account settings and the settings in the Family Safety site, but I can find nothing obvious about doing that.

Okay, I'm seriously having a hard time believing no one at Microsoft came up with the scenario to let a parent purchase an app for his child.

The issue is that I'm trying to purchase an app on my daughter's behalf.  My phone is a Lumia 920 and her phone is the Lumia 520.  I have her account locked down to prevent her from purchasing apps.

Here's how I worked around the restriction for now. Admittedly, it's not a simple workflow.

1. Enable phone app purchases on the child account in the Family Safety Portal.

2. Buy a digital store gift card and send it to the child's email address.

3. On the child's phone, redeem the gift card, purchase/download the app.

4. Go back to the Family Safety portal and turn off app purchases again.

Not something I want to go through frequently.

I hope this helps others.
