WP7 IE tabs no longer working

Starting sometime within the last 2 or 3 weeks, the IE tab functionality on my phone stopped working.  When I touch the ellipses to bring up the Application Bar menu and select tabs, the tab list is empty.  When I click the + on the app bar it will load one new tab, but then the + becomes disabled.  If I touch the new tab, nothing happens, and I can only get out of the tab view by navigating back.

If i have a web page open already, and then open up Outlook and click on a link, the new page will open up in a new tab.  I know it is a new tab because I can hold down the back button to bring up fast-app switching and I'll see two pages open.  But if I go back to the tabs view, it doesn't show anything, not even the current web page.

Right now I have IE configured to "open links from other apps" in "the current tab".  If I change this to "a new tab", then I cannot even launch IE.  It just kicks me back to the Start screen.

I have done power cycles, battery pulls and none of these have cleared out this condition.  My phone is developer unlocked, but I do not side-load any apps, just some simple ones I've developed myself.  I don't remember doing anything specific that triggered this behavior, I just noticed it one day, so I'm not exactly sure when it began.

Here are the details for my phone:
1. Phone Manufacturer: Dell
2. Phone Model: Venue Pro
3. Mobile Operator: T-Mobile
4. Phone Operating System version: 7.10.7720.68
5. Zune software version: 4.8.2345.0
6. Computer Operating System version: Win7 SP1 x86

Hi Marc,

No luck.  Deleting the browsing hostory had no effect.  I'm probably going to end up doing a rollback and re-install of Mango, unless you can think of anything to try.

Thanks,

Tim T.

Would be great if you could try the rollback to see if it the issue is caused by an update installed incorrectly!

I wouldn't necessarily say the Mango update installed incorrectly.  It worked fine for months after I first installed Mango, only recently developing this IE tabs problem.  If I get a few hours to spare later this week I'll try the rollback/reinstall.

Hi Tim Trout,

Do you know if anything changed on your windows phone before the issue occured? Anything like, firmware update installed or any other webbrowsing app installed on the phone?
