Can't download apps from the Windows Phone Store. Error code: d0000011

I can't download apps to my Windows Phone. I keep getting error code d0000011. I switched the Microsoft account associated with my phone by removing my phone from http://windowsphone.com and resetting my phone. I signed in with the new Microsoft account and all seem to be working - Facebook & Twitter integration, syncing etc. - but downloading of apps from the Windows Phone Store. I've reset my phone (again) but the problem remained. It's been more than a day and still, it's not working.

I got it fixed by re-adding my credit card to my Microsoft account through http://windowsphone.com.

 

Exact steps I took to solve the problem (not sure if it'll help in all cases)

  1. Removed my phone from https://www.windowsphone.com/account
  2. Reset my phone, and signed in using the same Microsoft account.
  3. I attempted to download apps, but I was still receiving the error.
  4. As soon my phone re-appeared on https://www.windowsphone.com/account, I re-added my contact e-mail address, clicked on "Edit payment info", and re-added my credit card.
  5. I attempted to download apps, and suddenly, I could.

I'm not sure if it'll work for other people, but it did for me
