Keep Getting Error From OneNote When Trying to Open Notebook?

I am providing this YouTube video to show my experience with the error for completeness sake (Text Explanation below):

Situation:

I have been trying to open any of my numerous OneNote 2010 Notebooks that I have made thus far in my 2nd year of Medical School. Each notebook has several "Section Groups" that I made within the notebook (i.e. Pharmacology, Pathology). I recently got the Windows Phone 7 Samsung Focus on Monday (THAT I FREAKING LOVE!). My only problem is that I am unable to open ANY of the notebooks on the phone? I have tried many different solutions (emailed myself link, open from site, etc), but I get the same problem every time:

When I click on the notebook listed on the "mobile site" on win7mobile IE I get the error "Can't Open Notebook: OneNote can't open this notebook since it has no sections in it."

 

Hopefully, someone can help me with this so that I can work on these notebooks via my phone! Thanks so much!

Hi Webb842,

OneNote Mobile on Windows Phone 7 will not support opening section groups in a notebook.

To have the sections present in Section groups opened in OneNote Mobile, you can follow the below steps:

  1. In OneNote Desktop, Select and Right-Click on the section group you want to open in OneNote Mobile.
  2. Perform "Copy link" operation
  3. Mail yourself the link copied
  4. On Phone, tap on OneNote link to open the section group in OneNote mobile as a notebook.
