ActiveSync 4.5 on T-Mobile Dash 3G (HTC Snap)

I took my phone to the T-Mobile store Tuesday because I was getting an error message that said -"info-memory is full. delete some messages".  No matter how many times I deleted messages and emptied the deleted items folder, the problem continued.  So thte store folks said they were backing up my data and would reset the device.  thinking I had sync'd in the lsat 24 hours at home, I agreed.

Turned out my data was not sync'd properly. I lost all my to-do's, and, even worse, the passwords, registration codes and all that were in t he secure wallet feeature of my PIM program. I can see that there is a folder in MichelleDash3G on my computer that contains (probably) that info but ActiveSync gave my device a new name (T-Mobile rather than Michelle) and so I can't get the software and the document to connect. which means I have to find all those passwords and IDs again as well as recreating all the to-dos.I have tried deleting the "new" sync partnership, uninstalling and rreinstalling ActiveSync, and all that has happened is that I continue to get an error message that sync could not be completed. "If this persists, try deleting the device's sync relationships". The error code is 0x80004005.

this is mystifying.  I'm doing exactly what it says to do but the result is the same.

Can anyone help?
