Microsoft Mobile designed in such a way which it won't be infected with malware and therefore you won't need any Anti-Malware product. For example, you only could download apps which has been signed with Microsoft Signature and from trusted source such as Windows Store.

You couldn't just run or download any code or program on Windows Mobile unlike Android and iOS.

Yes, but what is the risk from inadvertently opening a fake email (that looks entirely like an apple invoice) and clicking on a dispute link.  Is it possible for a virus or other malware to be placed on your phone in this circumstance?

What you explained is one way which malware could infect your system. But in term of Windows Phone this doesn't work. What happens is you open link, it might be link to a malicious website or content written in JavaScript or some other format for drive-by-download attack but none of them work in Windows Phone. In Windows Phone only apps and things which has been signed with Microsoft Signature will be run and majority of formats are blocked and won't run.

That's why Windows Phone OS is the smartest and secure OS on smartphone devices. Just like Mac OS or Linux OS, virus developers normally doesn't bother to develop virus for those because most people don't use them. And since everyone head for iOS and Android, so they only develop virus for those, while us not being with the common guys, are on the safe side. Just like Cyber_Defend_Team  said, even there are virus or malware, they wont work on WP cause they aren't made for this platform.

But the only Con side of WP 10, is - crashes still occur even on native Windows apps, other wise, it is the smartest OS ever. Actually it feels like Windows 95-XP days. When Ctrl+Alt+Del buttons were every-time common use. But since Win7, and now on Win 10 for desktop, I almost forgot the words "crash" or "hang"! It took Microsoft more than 10 years to achieve the ultimate flawless smooth OS for desktop. Hopefully WP OS will become smooth like the desktop version in time. Proud not to in the same ocean of Android and iOS.!
