New Microsoft Edge - Image of the Day (Bing) on New Tab not working properly and showing grey background.

Hi. I am currently using New Chromium based Microsoft Edge v84.0.522.61(Official Build) 64-bit in my Windows 10 Laptop. The Image of the day option was working very fine on my browser but it stopped working suddenly as it shows grey background instead of any image in the New Tab page as shown in the screenshot I added. Please help me out to fix it.

Hi Naved
it looks like the image of the day is not displaying (mine flashes this grey screen before loading the image)

try turning it off, restart edge, then turn it on again
click on the gear icon on the top right of the new tab page
click custom, under background, select Off

restart edge, then go back to the custom setting and turn on the image of the day.

if it still fails, turn off any extensions you have installed, if it then works, turn on the extensions one at a time to try to identify the one that blocks the image

sorry that didn't help,
i suggest resetting the edge settings
This will reset your start-up page, new tab page, search engine and pinned tabs. It will also disable all extensions and clear temporary data such as cookies. Your favourites, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.
click the ellipsis (...) and select settings
on the left select reset settings
on the right click on "restore settings to their default values"
click reset
restart edge

I have tried restoring the default settings previously, that also didn't work. I understood that I got a new bing image but it was also greyed as before.

i am running out of ideas.
have you tried creating a new edge profile?
click the ellipsis (...) and select settings
click on add profile (top right) then click add
switch to the new profile to see if the image of the day shows.

try temporarily turning off hardware accelleration
click the ellipsis (...) and select settings
select system in the left panel then on the right turn off "use hardware acceleration when available"

if you have any third party security software installed, temporarily turn it off to see if it is something there that is preventing the image of the day.

i will continue to play to see if i can find a solution, in the meantime perhaps somebody else will offer a solution.

Image retrieval has been a bit sporadic for the past few days. Until today, I was only seeing the default image (the one you see if there's no Internet connection) on four different versions of the browser on two different machines, so I'm fairly sure the problem is at the server end. The images were back today; here are a couple of them:

I also think so. My problem has now solved automatically and Image of the Day is properly working now. Thanks to everyone.

I am glad it is resolved.

Thanks ¡Firedog, I wasn't seeing the issue at my end so had assumed (wrongly) that it wasn't server side.

Update: The problem appeared again!!! It was solved automatically by doing nothing but it re-appeared on Microsoft Edge now. What is the actual problem? From Microsoft Server or something else?
