How can the new Edge be launched from the command line? What command line options/switches are there? (e.g. how to launch in private mode or with a particular account)
Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.
I appreciate your interest in new Microsoft Edge. I understand that you want to use command line to use Microsoft
Edge. Let me help you with the details.
To open Microsoft Edge using Command Prompt refer the steps mentioned below:
Type
command prompt in the search bar on the Taskbar.
Right click on the
command prompt icon and select Run as administrator.
Type the command
start msedge and hit Enter.
To open Microsoft Edge in InPrivate mode, use the command:
start msedge –inprivate
To open a website, use the command:
start msedge
www.microsoft.com(you can type any website name)
To restore the previous session, use the command:
start msedge --restore-last-session
However, if you are a developer, we do have a dedicated forum for Edge developers, let me point you in the right direction. I would suggest you
to post your query in Microsoft Tech Community, where you will find developers to assist you with appropriate details.
