Microsoft edge keeps crashing it opens then closes immediately

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I want to apologize if you encountered this issue. I understand you have a problem with microsoft edge keeps on crashing. When was the last time the it's working properly? Did you made any changes recently? Are you using the old Microsoft Edge or the New Edge Chromium?

Make sure to backup your Favorites first.

On old Microsoft Edge,
Press Start then Apps and Features
On the list, select Microsoft Edge
Click Advanced Options
You can try to Hit Repair or Click Reset

On New Edge Chromium,

In response to your questions; the edge browser worked fine about a week ago, I since have been using Chrome and Explorer as backup browers which are working fine.

I do want to continue using my edge as my default browser,

I do not believe any changes were made recently, my thought is it is an upgrade issue ?, 

I have the Edge 2019 version, would upgrading to the new edge be an answer. 

If so, what are the steps to upgrade.

Thank you for updating me that information. If you're still using the Old Microsoft Edge.
You can download and install the New Edge Chromium. Just make sure to backup your Favorites first.

Hi, I have the same problem, microsoft's new Edge keeps closing at anytime, several times a day. The Old Edge didn't do this during usage! What is wrong with you guy's and the bugs in the system, you recently rest my 98 day streak, I've had several MSN's articles crash, and the content offered sometimes stays the same for two to four days. I'm a loyal and supportive client, but even spy-ware giant G****e is sounding pretty good. Please fix this, thank you, have a good day, and safe day!
