Why is my Internet Security blocking msedge.exe

My AVG internet security is asking if they should block msedge.exe because it is trying to access my login and password. Why am I getting this warning?

if your user profile on Edge is set to your Microsoft account, this is normal and AVG is producing a false positive and you can safely allow Edge through AVG

Thank you! Would it be advisable to reset my Edge profile to alleviate these reoccurring warnings? If so, how do I do that? I'm not very tech savvy...

Hi Seepeez

Rest assured, there is no need to reset your Edge profile, the best option is to add an exception in AVG to allow Edge, that is all you should need to do.
