Unable to change Edge Search engine

I am having trouble changing my search engine ever since I reset my Edge. I try to do the normal route: the ..., settings, privacy search and service, Address bar and search, search engine used in the address bar and I set it to Google. I also went one step further and deleted bing and yahoo from the Manage search engine option. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Answer
Hello Zugzwane,

Thank you for updating me with that information. Please try the following methods below.

**Disable or Uninstall Edge extensions
Open Edge > Click 3 dots > Extensions
It looks like one of your Extensions is forcing your search to use Yahoo.

**If this doesn't work, You may need to consider performing a Reset of Edge Chromium.

Open Edge then click 3 dots > Settings
Select Reset Settings > Restore settings to their default values
Click Reset
Restart your computer using Clean Boot of Windows

**Perform a Clean Boot
Determine whether a background program or a software conflict is causing the issue.

Go to the search box > type MSConfig.
Select System Configuration > go to the Services tab.
Select and put a check mark on "Hide all Microsoft services" > Click Disable all.
Go to Startup tab > Open Task Manager > Disable all the unnecessary services running there. Restart your computer.

Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns.
