The Microsoft Edge shopping system can't automatically use the coupons which appear in the right side of the web page

When I browse the 购物袋 - Apple (中国大陆) web page, several coupons appear and are mentioned me that there are shopping discounts which Microsoft Edge provide, but I can't use them in payment page.

Hi Grace,

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

Microsoft Edge’s built-in coupon checker works by automatically crawling the web for available promo codes and coupons. Microsoft Edge's coupon feature may crawl to incorrect or invalid coupon codes.

The following points can help determine and resolve this issue.

1. Double-check the coupon's expiration date, scope of application, and other restrictions to see if the crawled coupon complies with the usage rules. Coupons that have expired or are not applicable to your purchases will not be automatically applied.

2. Check with the website's customer service to see if the coupon code is valid. The website may have changed or canceled some of the promotions, and the code crawled by Edge may be from old data.

3. If the source of the coupon is unknown, it is possible that the Edge crawler made a mistake and crawled the code from an unrelated website.

4. Confirm whether the website itself is fully compatible with Edge coupon function, some websites have problems with integration. If the problem persists, you can report the issue back to the Edge team, providing the specific site where the problem is occurring, and they can look for coupon application errors for that site.

Open the Microsoft Edge browser. Use the keyboard shortcut Alt + Shift + I (press all three keys at the same time) to open the Feedback and Problem Reporting tool.

I hope this helps.  If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Your Sincerely

Hi Hannah,

Thank you very much for your detailed reply. When I ask this question, I also considered that Apple Inc. won't give us such a big discount.

Hi Grace,

Thank you for getting back to me and clarifying the situation with the unlikely Apple discount. I appreciate you taking the time to point that out - it's an excellent observation and definitely raises a flag for an invalid or expired coupon code being incorrectly scraped by Microsoft Edge.

Microsoft's shopping feature aims to apply valid discounts automatically, but occasionally unrealistic or out-of-date promotional data gets crawled from across the web. Your example clearly illustrates this can be an issue, especially for retailers like Apple that rarely offer deep price cuts.

I will make sure to document your feedback and pass it along to our product team. Real-world use cases like this are extremely helpful for improving Edge's coupon code detection and application capabilities. Please feel free to report any other suspicious or non-working codes you come across - we rely on users like yourself to enhance the browsing experience.

Thank you again for your patience and for providing such valuable insight. Don't hesitate to reach out if any other questions come up! We are here to help get this sorted out.

Your Sincerely
