PSR (problem steps recorder) does not show pictures in Edge

As I transition to Edge, I notices my Problem Step Recorder files to do not open properly. I can copy the URL and paste into IE and the pictures load. Does Edge support PSR / mht files?

With a recent Windows update, it defaults opening these files with Edge, and I cannot change that. When I right click, there is no "open with" selection. Is this something that I can resolve?

Hi Ben, I am Paulo and I'd like to help.

I've replicated the problem and turns out .mht files are natively supported by IE before. Since IE is obsolete, the solution now is to enable IE mode in Edge in order to open .mht files which is the file format used in Steps recorder. To do that, Go to Edge > Settings > Default browser > Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode and set it to Allow.

That's it! You should be able to open the .mht files with screenshots on your Edge. :)
