Parallel lines cover every page of my word document. How do I remove them?

When I uninstalled WinRAR whose trial period was over, I noticed that thereafter, every page of my word documents
is covered with parallel lines bounded by two lines at the edges. Please, how can I remove this?

Do you have Word installed on your PC or are you using Word in a web browser?

If you have Word installed on your PC, go to File - Options

On the left, click Advanced,on the right scroll down to 'Show Document Content

Is 'Show Text Boundaries' turned on in that section?

If so, turn that off and click OK to remove those lines . . .

  1. This is wonderful! The parallel lines are gone. However, there are still four opposite brackets at the four corners of every page. I am very grateful for this awesome solution. It shall be further appreciated if I can be put through on how to remove these corner brackets as well. Thanks so much.

No problem at all . . .

Go back to the exact same settings section - go to File - Options

On the left, click Advanced,on the right scroll down to 'Show Document Content'

This time turn off 'Show Corp Marks'

That's It!
