Where are you seeing the alerts, is it in Edge, or on the notification area at the bottom right of your Desktop?
If that is in the Notification area on your Desktop, on those notifications does it list Edge is where they are coming from?
To test that. open the Settings App, then go to System - Notifications and Actions and temporarily turn off Edge notifications.
If the notifications stop, you can re-enable Edge notifications in the Settings app, then open Edge
In Edge, click the 3 dots at the top right of Edge and open its settings.
Type notifications in the search box in Edge Settings.
On the right, scroll down to find Edge Notification settings, open that and remove any websites that should not be able to create notifications.
