No "Try the new look of Microsoft Edge" option in Edge Stable

I'm on Version 118.0.2088.61 (Official build) (arm64) on Edge Stable on MacOS Sonoma. M2 MacBook Air. I have turned on the following flags

But, there is no option to for the new "look and feel in MS edge stable:

But the following option is available on the Canary, Dev builds:

Split screen seems to enable the rounded corners on pages

However, turning off split screen; only the sidebar 'apps'/copilot have the rounded corners surrounding their pages. Main pages wont have the rounded corners aesthetic. Causing design inconsistencies.

This is the same setup in canary:

Lets try to do the same with only one window open (no side panel, side bar, nor split screen)

First, i will show the stable release. Then canary. The screenshots will be labeled as such.

The Issue:

Even when the design should be rolled out to stable builds, i spend hours trying to turn flags on/off. All the relevant flags should have enabled the theme in the stable release. Canary and Dev channels had this design for months now. But even when the same updates rolled to the stable release, the design is not present, even when installing a fresh copy of Edge Stable.

Hi

Welcome to Microsoft community.

It seems like you're having trouble getting the new look of Microsoft Edge in the stable version even though you've enabled the relevant flags.

The new look, including rounded corners and other design changes, is part of Microsoft's ongoing visual refresh for Edge, aligned with the Fluent Design System. These changes are usually tested in Canary and Dev channels before they're rolled out to the Stable channel.

These design changes may not have been rolled out to the Stable channel yet. Even if the same version number has reached the Stable channel, it doesn't necessarily mean that all features from the Canary or Dev channels are included. Microsoft often uses feature flags to control the rollout of new features, and these can be enabled or disabled independently of the version number.

Please note that changes made in the edge://flags are experimental and can lead to unexpected browser behavior. Enabling flags in the Stable channel doesn't guarantee that all features from the Canary or Dev channels will be available, as some of them might be controlled server-side by Microsoft.

It's also possible that there might be a delay in the rollout of these visual changes due to platform-specific issues or other reasons.

If the new look is critical for your browsing experience, you might want to consider using the Canary or Dev channels regularly, as they receive new features and updates earlier.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information, I recommend checking Microsoft's official Edge release notes or the Edge Insider forums.

Best regards
