MS Edge installation location

Anyone know why the new MS Edge is installed to "Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application" when it's supposed to be a 64-bit application?

There is a discussion on the other community as well regarding the same - we exactly don't know why this is the case. In short, you are not alone.

Only Microsoft knows this and they haven't provided an explanation unfortunately.
