Microsoft Edge Recommends Scam Sites While Online Shopping. BEWARE.

While shopping for sneakers using Microsoft Edge as a browser, I was notified of a better price for the product I was purchasing on another site. The better price came from a scam site that took my money but never delivered the product. I would have never stumbled upon this site if it wasn’t for Microsoft edge pushing it on me under the guise of savings. It’s absolutely crazy for your browser to be pushing scams on you to steal your money. What a complete joke, do not use Microsoft edge.

A pop up box appeared on my screen and suggested I purchase from this specific site as it was a better deal. The browser quite literally recommended it to me.

I'm sorry, but all the browser did was deliver the ad to your computer, like it delivers every other portion of a web page to your computer. As consumers of information, we have the ability to exercise our discretion.

OK so Microsoft Shopping is intentionally serving ads from SCAM companies. How does this represent the "trust and integrity" that Microsoft likes to harp on about?

Seems an ignorant argument to say it isn't "recommending" it when it's intentionally serving ads, to get you to purchase from a vendor that is selling scam and counterfeit merchandise.

Stop cucking so hard for Microsoft and hold them to the standard of only accepting advertising from legit companies and to provide a direct way in Shopping to report scam and phishing sites.

I just fell for the same thing, and am now wrapped up in disputes.

Maybe I should have been more careful, but because it came from Microsoft Edge shopping (and the use of Paypal), I had a false sense of security. Microsoft edge users indeed BEWARE. Shopping tab is a tool being exploited by scammers. Our new AI future.
