Hi QAB.com,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

There is some app or process on your Windows Startup that relied in the WebView2 component, and that is not being found.

Click the link below to download a small free utility that does not require installation.

https://download.sysinternals.com/files/Autorun...

When the file downloads, unzip it.

Depending on your system, run Autoruns or Autoruns64 as Administrator

Select the Logon tab in Autoruns, then please provide a screenshot of the entries on that tab.

Hi QAB.com

Thank you for the screenshot, open Autoruns again and select that Logon tab again

Untick the second and bottom items (MicrosoftEdgeAutoLaunch and Microsoft Edge)

Then restart (not shut down your PC and check if that popup is gone.

Hi QAB.com

One of those entries on that Logon tab is causing that error, disable them one at a time and restart your PC, to see if you can narrow it down to find which one is causing the error.

The latest builds of Autoruns are very buggy, the older version 13.98 works to uncheck those entries.

https://filehippo.com/download_autoruns/13.98/

Just uncheck Hide Microsoft Entries in the Options menu.

Hi QAB.com

Sorry I was offline, okay, if none of those is causing the popup, because Edge cannot be uninstalled, download the offline installer for Edge from thel ink below and re-install it on top of itself, to see if that stops the popup error.
