I use Windows 10 Home and I'm suddenly getting multiple daily notices that "C:\pro\VirtualDrive.exe" has been blocked. It's not in my programs so I can't delete it. How do I stop this? Thanks.

This "VirtualDrive.exe" is suddenly in my notifications. Internet info sucks so I don't know if it's a good program or bad nor where it came from. I'm getting 4 or 5 notifications per day saying that it has been blocked, and I'd like to stop them. Is it an update from Microsoft? If not, why do they keep notifying me that it has been blocked? Thanks for your help.

Hi, I am an Independent Advisor.

Let me help you with this issue.
I understand that you are having issues with C:\pro\VirtualDrive.exe, giving you daily notifications.
Please check the path C:\pro\VirtualDrive.exe and see if you have an Uninstall.exe inside that folder. If you have, please click Uninstall to remove it from your PC.
Do you have Cyberlink PowerDVD installed on your PC? If you have Cyberlink installed, have it removed in Control Panel > Programs & features > Uninstall a Program.

Hello and thanks for the reply but I don't have any link or a way to access it to uninstall it. I just have notices 4-5 times a day saying it has been blocked but the notices won't stop.

What happens when you go to the path on your C drive?
Open File Explorer then navigate to C:\Pro\VirtualDrive.exe. If you can see the path, have it removed.

Thanks for your reply but, as I've said, I don't see it anywhere on my hard drive. I just get multiple notifications EVERY DAY that says Microsoft Security has blocked it. I just want to get rid of it so the notifications will stop.

Please download and install AutoRuns, this tool can help detect that path which you cannot find in C drive.

Please check this link on how to use this tool. You may need to thoroughly check on the Explorer tab to detect this path that you need to delete.

I'm not sure whose suggestion worked, and it took me an hour of opening & closing folders to find where the darn irritant was hidden, but I found it under the name "Cyber Link" and not "Virtual Drive". I deleted it and it seems to be gone but I'll give it a few days to resurface just to be sure.

I do want to thank all of you that replied because, even though I've used computers since 1995, I still am not as knowledgeable as I'd like to be. Thank you all, again.
