Thank you for coming to my assistance.
My windows 10 Version is 19041.630
The edge version is 86.0.622.69
"If you are using Edge Chromium" ??
This phrase means nothing to me unfortunately
As far as I am aware I am using "New Edge" as defined by the Windows10 updates.
irrespective of the above ambiguity I have followed your text and confirm
Allowed sites to save and read cookies is ON

There are no allowed sites listed

"add a web site used regularly and allow cookies"
What exactly is " [*.}example.com " attempting to illustrate to me ?
Where do I locate such specific information of the form relative to any particular site I may wish to add?
E.G. - The BBC , M&S, John Lewis
When I open Edge The screen I see has a box "Search the Web"
The symbol at the right looks a bit like a fancy sort of " b "
Never took much note of this before - is this in fact the search engine "Bing" I am looking at by default ??
It is the " I accept " at the bottom I am referring to in my frustration.
Perhaps on reflection - in partial ignorance it is not Edge that is irking me it is the default presence of Bing !! - assuming that is the case - same question applies.
Do I have to accept Bing as the host search Engine ?
Thanks for your interest
Prompted by you I have learnt an awful lot - especially use of the feedback.
Kind Regards
