I'm Paul, a fellow customer like you & an Independent Advisor. Does it appear when you open Edge inPrivate browsing?

It appears on the right side of the New Tab page between my personalized Weather  box and my Money box.  The article didn't seem to address the problem.

Hi MesPia,

Got it, thanks. Now, try to run Edge in inPrivate mode & see if it disappears.
https://www.dummies.com/computers/how-to-use-in...
Also, try to turn off one plugin/extension at a time & restart Edge to see which one is the culprit. Thanks.

When I switch to InPrivate Window, I lose all my New Tab information (news feeds, etc.).  All I get is what is shown below, and I don't know how to get out of it.

My normal New Tab Window is as shown below.

Hi MesPia,

Got it, thanks. What is your Edge Chromium's version?
https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/402701...
Kindly give me a screenshot of below. Open Edge & browse to
• edge://apps/
• edge://extensions/
Also, click on the gear icon > Custom > under Content, change it to "Content off" > restart Edge & let me know if it persists. If not, turn the content back on by selecting "Content visible".

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you!

The Edge version is :81.0.416.77 (Official build) (64-bit)

I tried the Content Off/Content Visible switch, but it did not remove the Trending Now panel.

I have no installed Apps, but I have inserted screenshots below of the Apps and Extensions.

Those extensions were present long before I had this "Trending Now" panel show up.  However, I turned them off, restarted Edge, and the panel was still there.

Hi MesPia,

Got it, thanks. Now, temporarily create a local admin user profile, log in as that user profile, and check if the issue persists.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/402692...
If it persists, that means that section is part of the Microsoft Newsfeeds & so it cannot be disabled alone. You have to disable the entire news feed, as shown on the link below.

I suggest, submit feedback directly to the Edge Chromium Team, so this will be fixed in future releases.

I just went through a whole set of possible fixes with Microsoft Support (using a Windows Advisor).  I even re-installed Microsoft Edge, but the problem remains.  I right-clicked on the Trending Now panel and selected Inspect to examine the HTML code, and found that that panel is apparently associated with bingshop2.  I've also gone to Bing.com and turned off "Show News and Interests", but it did no good.  I may just have to live with it.  I never use it anyway.
