Hello, LightEffect

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

To prevent the "Sign in as" prompt in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Windows Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options, and deactivate the "Automatically save my restartable apps when I sign out and restart them after I sign in" setting. This action will prevent Edge from retaining your previous session and signing you in automatically.

  2. Enter edge://settings/profiles in the Edge address bar and either sign out or remove your profile from Microsoft Edge in order to prevent its automatic sign-in with your Microsoft account or your work/school account.

  3. Visit edge://settings/privacy and clear your browsing data, especially cookies and other site data, to remove the sign-out cookie that instructs Edge not to sign into specific sites for future visits. Before proceeding, it is recommended that you back up all of your personal files, including your Favorites, to avoid any potential data loss.

  4. Use the shortcut Windows key + R, type msconfig, press Enter, select the Services tab, scroll down to Microsoft Account Sign-In Assistant, deselect the box, click on Apply, and restart your system to disable the service that enables Edge to sign in with your Microsoft account.

  5. Switch from a Microsoft account to a local account on your Windows profile, as this will also deactivate Edge's automatic sign-in feature. Navigate to Start, then go to Settings > Accounts > Your info. Choose "Sign in with a local account instead." Enter the username, password, and password hint for your new account. Click "Next," then choose "Sign out and finish." Proceed with signing back in.

REALLY?!?! For disabling popup I need logout from the browser and switch to the local account?!?!

Actually I was looking a some button or checkbox, not an instruction how to make a nuclear bomb at home.

There is no such button or checkbox. These steps are just to make sure that the issue can be completely resolved. In addition, except for the inability to synchronize some of your settings, logging in to a local account is no different than logging in to a Microsoft account.
