Edge having font issues

Recently upgraded to the new Edge, and really liking it. But I've noticed that it's suddenly having trouble rendering text. I've noticed this across multiple websites (Wordpress, Twitter, etc.). I haven't changed the default font, nor have I downloaded any custom fonts. There doesn't seem to be any pattern. Sometimes, a whole page will be okay. Sometimes, it will be fine halfway through a page, and then it will become chopped up. Usually highlighting the text will show it correct and whole.

Here's an example of what it looks like:

Try the following: paste this in the address bar edge://settings/system > uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available" > restart the browser.

1. What is your system set up, e.g. laptop/desktop, do you see this on an external monitor?

2. What is the site/URL where you encounter this the most? You mentioned Twitter, is that a good example?

Joshua, what happens if you start Edge from the command line and pass it the "--disable-angle-features=allow_clear_for_robust_resource_init"?  Does the bug go away?  

Remember to re-enable hardware acceleration when trying the test.
