In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:
What is the version of Edge installed on the PC? (Open Edge > click on (…) dots from top right corner > click on Settings > Click on About Microsoft edge from the left pane).
Are you trying this for the first time on Edge or were you doing it earlier?
Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform these steps and check.
Open Microsoft Edge
Click on the three dots (…) from the right top corner.
Select Settings from the drop down and click on Profile from the left pane.
Click on Passwords
Toggle the switch to On beside Offer to save passwords and Sign in Automatically.
Note: We would suggest you to first remove the webpage from favorites and then perform the above steps later add it to favorite. Also, make sure that you are signed to Edge and sync is on.
