Browser getting blurred frequently - Windows 11

Hello All,

Hope you're doing well,

Recently, I've updated Microsoft Edge Browser and it frequently gets blurred automatically. After some time, It gets back to normal. When I checked this problem on the Internet, It asked me to turn off Hardware Acceleration in my Browser.

I turned off & restarted the browser but I am still facing the same problem. I've attached a screenshot of how it looks. Could anyone help me fix this issue ASAP?

Thank You :)

Regards,

Advaith N Aithal

Hi AdvaithAithal,

I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

Can you first try using other browsers to confirm if the issue is specific to MS Edge?

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks.

I am having the same issue, with the same suggestion (turn off "Use hardware acceleration when available") and no fix. Moving the curser during the blur doesn't fix the issue, I have to minimize then open the tab again to fix.

It is only with this browser I am experiencing this.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

James

I am also experiencing this issue. (I believe.) Other sources suggest it has something to do with a Nvidia graphics card, however my system uses AMD Radeon graphics card. The browser appears to make the displayed webpage blurry after a short amount of time. However, in addition to turning off Hardware Acceleration, I have turned off all of the energy savings, and sleep settings, yet the issue persists. It is also not the entire app that is blurry, as the tab and tool bars remain in visual focus. It is only the displayed website that become blurry. The page does not focus until the window is "clicked" or otherwise becomes the selected window.

I'm using the Microsoft Edge (118.0.2088.2 (Official build) dev (arm64)) browser on Windows 11 Pro (22H2/1000.22662.1000.0) and I've been having the same problem since Thurs/Fri last week.

Sometimes this happens when the browser is switched to the background, other times it happens while I'm actively using Edge.

Sometimes when I click into the browser window the blur goes away immediately, but other times the blur remains for some time or won't go away.

A browser restart will generally remove the blur for a while, but it does reoccur again after some time.

Regards,

Owen

Same issue here, sometimes it happens to a browser window I'm not using on a side monitor but other times I'm in the middle of filling out a form in the browser and it does it.

I found taking a screenshot immediately makes it go away - noting I'm using Greenshot, just in case that makes a difference.

I'm running Version 118.0.2088.2 (Official build) dev (64-bit) on Windows 11 with AMD video card.

I Also have this problem since the last update. Never had this issue before. Is browser specific and doesn't seem te be related to grafics card. Fells like an issue with the recent update on Edge
