Latest Outlook 15.9 release causes authentication problems with Exchange server

Installed the latest update of Microsoft Outlook Update 15.9 on 4/14.  After installation, as soon as I launch outlook it prompts me for the username and password for the Exchange server account.  Typed it in, and it asks again, etc...  Never clears.  Exited, went back in; same outcome.  Rebooted, same outcome.  Remove the Exchange account in Outlook and re-added; same problem.  Removed Outlook 15.9, and reinstalled 15.8.1 and it works fine.

No sure if anyone else has run into this yet.

I'm having similar issues. I cannot connect to my exchange server when I am not on the LAN/WAN or using VPN. As soon as I connect to VPN I am able to connect. I can then disconnect and outlook stays connected. As soon as I close outlook as reopen I cannot connect to exchange until I use VPN.

This is a issue with version 15.9, it was not present on version 15.8.2.  I have outlook 2011 and it is still working fine.

I have this problem also, how do you get the 15.8.1 to revert back to it?

Same issue / symptoms here.  How do we fix in 15.9 or revert back to 15.8.1?

I got out to the preview site prior to them updating it.  This moved me back to 15.8.1 (which had some of its own problems).  Last night pulled 15.8.2 (a more stable release for me) from my Time Machine back.  So back to a stable state.

I was able to fix the problem for me by entering in the account settings my full email address (instead of the user name) as username. I do not know why but after this change the problem no longer occurred.

This didn't work for me. Still getting the constant prompts for credentials.

This has worked for me as well. My domain login and email address are not the same, so I just entered *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and it now letting me in. It was not working with domain\username.
