Outlook 2016 for Mac and Spotlight in El Capitan

Hi,

Spotlight does not seem to pull up any emails in Outlook during a search.

Also, searching emails in Outlook 2016 delivers "No Results" no matter what is searched.

Is this a known issue and are there any recommended fixes?

First thoughts are that the Outlook Profile is now stored in the Outlook app (and not Microsoft User Data in Documents). Does Spotlight index the Contents folders of apps? If not, is there a way of moving the profile to a location that Spotlight indexes?

Would greatly appreciate any assistance!

Microsoft is working is aware of the issue and working on a fix pertaining to El Capitan issue and Outlook for Mac 2016. For more information you may refer the post by Faisal Jeelani in the thread link which talks about the same.

Are there any updates on this indexing issue?

I got one customer who got big IMAP inboxes (2-3 with around 15.000 mails) - the first indexing worked fine, but newly arrived mails wont indexed. So I could reinitiate a full indexing for the whole machine daily… 

OSX is latest El Capitan and latest Office.

Different issue: Had another user who couldn't sent any mails via office635 Exchange server, but was able to receive them. On this one I switched back to Mail.app ...

This is really not satisfying – customers start to not believe that it can be so buggy...
