Q: Can't Activate Office 365 Home Premium for Mac This thread is locked from future replies

I am unable to activate Office 365 Home Premium on my MacBook Pro.  I have paid for an annual subscription.  The error I get is "Sign in failed because the password is incorrect or the sign-in name does not exist."  I am certain I am entering the correct information.  I would contact support, but the support website keeps sending me in circles and won't give me a link or number to actually contact someone.



I had the same problem and got it to work with two-step verification enabled:

1. Sign in to your Microsoft account @
2. In the "Security info" page, scroll down to "Create a new app password"
3. Plug that new password into the Mac product

This circumvents the two-step verification for the Mac product.
