Outlook for Mac 2011 - Email templates

Is there any way to create an email template in Outlook MAc 2011? I want to use the same email over and over. I have tried to save as - no luck. Also looked for Resend this message - but no such animal.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Answer
1) Save as Draft

Download the Resend script:  Barry’s AppleScripts http://web.me.com/barryw/Scripts/Home.html

2) Create an Automator workflow:

Open Automator in Applications.

Select "Create new Outlook message"
Insert the text into the message window.
Save as workflow in the Outlook Script Menu Items folder

~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Outlook Script Menu Items

You can assign a shortcut to the workflow or manually select from the Script menu in the Menu bar.

3) Click on Tools > Signatures and create a new signature for every boilerplate text that you want to use. You can even make them in HTML if you wish.

You can label them with a group prefix to separate them from email signatures:

Stationery - What we do
Stationery - General information
Stationery - etc.
When you want to reply with boilerplate response, just click Reply and then drop down to the stationery you want from the Signature menu and send.

4) User a third party tool to insert text.  There are several that I recommend (TypeIt4Me, SpellCatcherX, Typinator, TextExpander). I can't type without using one of these. Saves me so much time typing frequently used text.

Insert text automatically into a message (Part One)

The Resend command was added to Outlook for Mac in the Service Pack 1 (SP1) update. You can download it from here: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.

Hope this helps!
