How do I disable dock notifications for unread messages?

Hi there,
I am one of those people who is constantly distracted by new email, and thus the dock icon showing the number of unread messages (e.g., the red number at the corner of the Outlook icon) in Outlook 2011 is really distracting. I have searched everywhere trying to figure out how to disable this, but no luck. Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!

Answer
Unfortunately, this particular notification can't be disabled. Please be
sure to let Microsoft know you'd like to see this feature in future
versions by using the Help --> Send Feedback mechanism in any Office
application.

The red alert with the number does not represent all unread messages but
rather all unread messages in any Inbox. You can either mark all
messages in every Inbox as read or move unread messages to another
folder to disable the alert.

Or, if you don't want to be distracted simply quit Outlook and check it
only when you're ready to check it.

Hope this helps!
