How can I uninstall outlook for mac 2011 but leave word, excel and powerpoint?
I want to remove outlook from my mac as I never use it but in some cases, even when I selected mail as the default app, Outlook is launched by an ics attachment. I still use word and powerpoint sometimes so I would like to keep it. I was told the only
way was to remove Office 2011 completely. is there another workaround? I just want to get rid of Outlook for good.
Thanks for the help

If you used Outlook, the one folder I would delete is the Outlook 2011 Identities. That folder contains all of your Outlook information and can get quite large. The steps below explain where to find it:
In the Finder, click Go, and then click Home. Open the Documents folder.
Open the Microsoft User Data folder.
Control-click or right-click the Office 2011 identities folder and choose Move to Trash
Other than that, the Outlook application itself is only 50 MB. You can remove it, but it might cause complications when installing updates later down the road. I would personally recommend keeping it.
Hope this helps!
