Lync 14.0.0 for Mac crashes when signing in using Lion 10.7.x

Lync has been consistently crashing for me, with the error exception EXC_BAD_ACCESS, while using multiple Macs with the latest versions of Mac OS X 10.7. Lync worked with 10.7.1 until updating. It works fine with Snow Leopard 10.6 systems. Communicator still works fine on these systems, even though Lync does not.

I found it.

After you upgrade to OS X 10.7.2, look in your login keychain for an "Unknown" certificate. Keychain will display "unable to display this certificate" and "The data does not appear to be a valid certificate". Delete this certificate and Lync will then work.
