Excel compatible with PC version?

I'd like to use my MAC at work but we are using quite some extensive excel sheets full of marcos and VBA.

I tried opening one of them on my mac and it did not work.
Is there anything to do to increase compatibility between the two versions of Excel?
any additions to install for VBA or macros???

regards,
David

MacOffice does not support VBS at all.

It does support VBA and XL4M macros. There's little you can to do increase compatibility within the Application. However, high compatibility workbooks/projects can be achieved.

ActiveX objects are not supported on the Mac (the preferred abbreviation of Macintosh - "MAC" usually refers to "Media Access Control" addresses), so one should use only Legacy/Forms controls. Obviously system calls to the Windows operating system won't work on Macs (nor do Mac system calls or the MacScript method work in Windows).

There are a few very minor differences in VBA syntax (e.g., the FileFilter argument in the GetOpenFileName method) that can easily be handled with conditional compilation.

If you're having specific problems, post them. There may well be a solution or workaround.
