Update 14267 stuck

My update to 14267 has been stuck on 32% 'Preparing to install updates' for more than 45minutes.  This is the longest it has ever been stuck during any update.

(Grumble, grumble, moan)

Important Announcement

Since posting the comment on the update being stuck, a window popped up telling me that I had an incompatible program installed.  It was (of course) one of those free programs from a well-known daily free software website.  I was given the option to uninstall it and on doing so Windows continued with the update very quickly.

Most of the software on my PC is paid for and all of these remain compatible with Windows 10.

Although I have edited my post, there does not seem to be a way of saying that the problem has been answered.

The problem has been solved!

Just sayin' .....

Have you tried reinstall the "uncompatible" software after the update finished?

Hello ****$****

No I haven't and cannot see any reason to try.  It was 'Free' software and if I wanted this - I would look for it from a well-known company with history.

It was a VPN program and there are plenty of these programs about.
