Error 801882c2- The update was downloaded but couldn't be opened

I'm on a Lumia 635 with OS version 9941.12498. I've been on the Windows 10 Technical preview Slow Track and a few weeks ago the phone notified me that there was an update however there wasn't enough space on the phone. I moved a huge amount of apps over to the SD card and began the download. I've tried many times and have also received the error code 800b0100. Phone free space is at 1.91GB.

I don't wish to use the recovery tool because my backup does not work. It encounters an unknown error every time. Thanks.

I have a lumia 820 and had the same error and more than 3 GB free. I switched to the insider fast configuration. I turned off my phone for half an hour. reapply the update and got another version that installed it . you can obviously try.

That's helpful, thanks! However my Windows Insider app crashes every time I open it so I can't switch configurations. I've tried it with the app installed on the phone and on the SD card.

You do have a data connection? Have you tried uninstalling the insider app? Restarting yr phone. Reinstalling the insider app, log on and choose the fast configuration.

I did this and the install went to 15% and got the same error. Plus when i cane settings in app, it goes back to start. Is there a fix for this, or will I have to reset my Lumia 635 for it to work. plus when i did that, I still had the Windows 10 Insider Preview. Just let me know if I need to do anything.

Same error messages here with Lumia 735 on W10 TP slow track. Moved from fast track in hoe this would resolve but no change. Tried with and without SD card and the handset has 3.1GB free space.

OS ver 10.0.12534.56

I'm still having the same error. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Windows Insider app several times. There was a recent update to the app, but that did not solve the problem either. I noticed that I had Windows Preview for Developers installed as well. I uninstalled that in case it was interfering with the install but that did not work either.

In regards to the data connection, I download only over Wifi. Turning on the data connection and trying to open the app did solve the problem.

I am still having the issue.  From what I read you need to reload your phone.
