Build 14361 changed my Sign-in options

Updated both my PC and my Surface Pro 3 to Build 14361 last night and the Surface Pro 3 is working perfectly.  But, my desktop PC got its Sign-in option changed.  I have been using a 4-digit Pin for a long time and now I have to use my email password.  I have tried several times to change it back to my Pin, but every restart is changes back to my email password.

Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Just as a point of information, I updated to 14361 yesterday and have had no problem with the PIN continuing to be used for ether my local Admin account or my MSA user account.

Thank you very much Joy.  It was really strange as it still had my old Pin, but just wouldn't let me use it to log in, so I removed it and re-added it and all is good now.

Again, thanks for your answer.

Kindest regards,

Larry

I too had a problem logging in after the build update. It would keep logging me in with a temp account. So, I did a Win+X and opened the command windows as administrator.  I then did a CHKDSK /F and it scheduled the command at restart. I restarted and the disk scan ran and fixedan error. After that I could login with my actual account.

Like you Larry, my pin was correct but not accepted. Removed pin, signed in and re-input pin. Now working.

Hello everyone,

Try the following fixes -

1. Settings => Accounts => Sign in options => I forgotmy pin link.

Pursuing the onscreen guidelines create a new pin.

2. Follow the path (Note - Not directly go through Run command or File explorer address bar, but manually open one by one to enter the directories. Take the administrator rights wherever needed.)

C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Ngc

Delete all the folders existing in Ngc.

Sep up a new Pin.

Bang.

Still suffering, follow the guideline - Fix: Can’t Login With Pin in Windows 10
