  1. May I know which build is installed on Windows 10 Insider Preview?
  2. Do you have any pending Windows Updates?

Method 1:

I would suggest you to Run app Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

I suggest you to follow the steps in the below Microsoft help article for more information on App troubleshooter and How to Troubleshoot problems with apps.

Method 2:

Resetting the store cache can resolve issues like this. Refer to these steps to reset the store cache:

1. Press Windows + R keys on the keyboard.
2. Type wsreset.exe in the open box and press Enter.
3. Check if it takes you to a store page which displays that the cache has been reset.
4. Now try to open the store app and check.

Method 3:

I suggest you to Uninstall and reinstall the apps and check if it helps.

If the issue still persists, I suggest you to install if there are any pending updates in Windows Updates.

I'm also experiencing this same error code and the suggested fixes had no effect.

I am running build 10166 and I'm experiencing the error when trying to install "nextgen reader". This app is not installed in my windows 10 VM but I own it and have it installed on various windows 8.1 machines. The error appears to occur when trying to get a license but before actually downloading the app.

If there are any further diagnostics you'd like me to run, let me know.

It seems as though my problems have disappeared since updated to build 240. You can try that.

I have just started seeing the issue on 10240.

I've tried dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup, and re-registering the store; neither worked.

WINDOWS STORE FAIL AT ACQUIRE LICENCE AND IMMEDIATELY STOP WORK .

WINDOWS STORE IS UPDATING IN BACKGROUND AND YOU MUST WAIT SOME TIME TO FINISH THE UPDATING PROCESS

Same for me. It happens with many, but not all apps I own and I'm trying to install on a fresh Windows 10 Build 10166 instance. It looks very random. The error appears just after trying to acquire a licence for the app.

For me problems happens for every new app I try to install from the store.

Apps that are already installed update fine though.

I tried to go trough reset (2nd post) and some tricks I found on the net about same error code on Win8 (checking if windows update was running and that owner rights on store files were allright).

But Not helpfull !
