We'd like your survey feedback - official or scam?

Hello, 

I just got email from *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

It asks me to complete a survey on adress https://www.instant.ly/s/eEoyA/nav#p/186a0

Since it asks data such as login email, country, ZIP code etc. and it is on instant.ly instead of microsoft.com, I kindly ask you information is this real Microsoft survey or some kind of scam

Instanty.ly is uSamp (they just re-braned themselves this year). Their client list includes, "Microsoft, Google, Loews, NBC, Clorox, Ipsos and Nielsen."

I started answering the survey, but when it started to get into asking more personal questions that had nothing to do with Windows 10 I quit and didn't finish as it wouldn't let you skip questions.

I read Steve's post & links, but still don't understand.  Is this spam or not?  Did MS contract with these guys for this survey?  Until I know for sure, I'm treating this as spam.  I don't understand what the questions have to do with Windows 10 or anything related to MS.

Seems to be legit.

You don't have to answer it if you don't want to.

 Thanks for the info.  If it is legit, I guess I can't understand why MS needs to know all this personal info.  Unless they want to be forthcoming about it (which they certainly haven't been so far), I know of absolutely no reason they need to know things like how much I like to travel, whether I'm a leader, etc., etc.

Yea I did the same, but stopped aabout the same time as you...

Would be kinda nice if someone from Microsoft would come in here and give us the "official" answer..

Let me ask this. Why would MS outsource this survey when they already have a linked pipeline for that in many different places on MS websites?

Just something to consider.

I think.its just trying to figure out if you would be right for one of MS`s devices. Like the Xboxor the new HoloLens
