Original Control Panel is Missing With Win X on Build 14942

With all earlier builds if you pressed Win X or Right clicked the Windows Key Icon you would always see control panel in the pop menu as it has now been replaced by settings. It seems to have disappeared from the list. However you can still access it by either right clicking the Windows Key and Run from the list and type Control and it comes up. This might be the first indication that Microsoft is going to remove the old Control Panel as they migrate the other settings into the settings app. Microsoft could possibly keep it available like they do with the Group Policy Editor (GPEDIT.MSC) available but hidden.

It is still in the All Apps list in the Windows System Folder.

I think you are right about Control Panel being fazed out.:)

That is only half correct. It isn't there on my Surface - Windows 10 Pro. But it is on my other laptop.

You can also still access it in File Explorer

Cortana found it and I pinned it to the Taskbar.
