Hi Kathy,

It says the same on my 14393.10 machine but everything runs fine. The service is after all running and it's only it's description that's not available. A minor bug that should not affect Mouse and/or Edge, AFAIK, so please elaborate which problems you are heaving.

Some mice do behave badly under W10, so the question is, is the problem recent or has it been there for a while. You might have to get a new Mouse, I had to. Just make sure you can return it, if it turns out not to work.

And please make it a habit to post the exact W10 version (build-nr)  you are running as there are many out there. Some hardware info may also be helpful. (Mouse!)

Stephen

The build number is 14393.10. Edge hangs....hesitates. I had purchased a new mouse for Windows 10 platform abd it had the same issues as my MS model 1560.

All this only tells me that you once had a MS 1560 and that it did not work properly. Do take into account that it is 5 years old. Please be more precise, I mean descriptive as to your issues, system and your upgrade history, because for now, I have no reason to change my diagnosis.

Although I appreciate your effort in posting Event details, unless you can tie an event to a 'issue', they are not that helpful....

IN RE:    "All this only tells me that you once had a MS 1560 and that it did not work properly. Do take into account that it is 5 years old ..."  etc. --

Wait a minute -- I found the same error message, also, but, my question is this -- What does that particular service do? When I look at the dependencies to see if it is advisable to shut it down, I see that it depends on nothing to function itself, however, NOTHING else, apparently, REALLY NEEDS IT to function either, so, second question, in lieu of my first question,  if I want to shut it down, is that advisable?

What part of, "There's an error where the service description should be detailed, and the recommended resolution is to replace the mouse." still has you asking this guy for assistance. I'd be running for the hills.

Soon, he'll have lighting candles and avoid flushing toilets for 3 days, about as effective as replacing the mouse..

He did replace the mouse (post on August 8th). The problem persisted. In addition to his mouse issue, he was wanting to know the function of the service and I imagine he thought a site full of Microsoft engineers and developers could tell him what it is. I would like to know, myself, since I have the same problem with the description of that service. Can anyone just look at the description for that service on their system and post it here, rather than making snide comments that benefit no one?

I would also like to know.  I am running a Dell Inspiron 12GB desktop with Windows 10 and since it is new the hard drive is 97% free, have no software or hardware issues.     It is sad when someone asks a question expecting an honest answer and instead gets sarcasm.  We are not all computer experts.

I totally agree.  TS Forrest, you signed on to be helpful not reply to an honest question with snide comments and sarcasm.   Maybe you should rethink being an insider, it does not fit the image you are projecting.
