Complete list of Windows Insider builds released after the Fall Creators Update, how to check what your build is currently installed and Best new feature

The most recent Fast Ring build number is now at 17134.5 (Cumulative update KB4135051 released on 4/27/18 changed the build number From: 17134.1 To: 17134.5).

and as of build 17101 the version number has change to "1803" (from 1709). This would normally indicate the next major release to the general public will occur in late March or early April of 2018, however due to several last minute issue (bugs) mid to late April now looks like the most likely release time frame !

The best new feature in 17134.1: None, just bug fixes

Today, we are releasing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17134 (RS4) to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. This build has no new features and includes the fixes from KB4100375 as well as some fixes for general reliability of the OS. As Build 17133 progressed through the rings, we discovered some reliability issues we wanted to fix. In certain cases, these reliability issues could have led to a higher percentage of (BSOD) on PCs for example. Instead of creating a Cumulative Update package to service these issues, we decided to create a new build with the fixes included. This just reinforces that Windows Insiders are critical to helping us find and fix issues before releasing feature updates to all our customers so thank you!

Not sure if you've seen this issue with anyone else, but the "Check for Updates" button has completely disappeared for me on build 17083.

Since it may be quite some time before the 17093 ISO is available, I'm wondering if there's a command line or other way to invoke the update.

See if  usoclient.exe StartScan  does anything for you.  FWIW all I got was an impersonation error  (0x80070542)

Thanks all for the suggestions, but they don't seem to make any difference. I've attached a screenshot to show you what my Windows Update window looks like.

As you can see, no "Check for Updates" button. I also looked on the Feedback Hub and there seemed to be a few posts related to this, but not too many.

The suggested commands executed just fine, but didn't seem to do anything.

Also, no errors in Event Viewer.

Have you looked in View Update History?

Are you getting an updates at all?

It looks like you have an update stuck in the pipeline.

Have you tried updating Defender definitions

through Defender itself?

Have you checked to see what your "Active Hours" (Change active hours) setting show?

Try typing this in the Run Dialog box     ms-settings:windowsupdate-action         and click on OK

Edit:     When I click on the OK the Image below shows what happens. It runs Windows Update showing the dots running a crossed the screen under The Check for updates same as if you clicked on the Check for updates button

I had this issue on Christmas day in build 17063. I had to restart wuauserv service, and then run the WU troubleshooter. That got it going again.

So funny you mention this.

I have a bad habit of writing these "tips"

on the back of my builds notes.

Just today I went through them all and

put them in a word document.
