AppData folder in File Explorer not visible

I don't know when it happened, but when I tried to find a pile in my AppData\Local in File Explorer, I discovered that AppData wasn't there.  When I searched for AppData, File Explorer gave a long list of files, but clicking on one of them.  When I searched for AppData\local I found a few files, but not the one I was looking for.  When I looked for the files in Command Prompt, they were all there.

Is this a problem with my file explorer?  I do have the view hidden files enabled.

Please type in

%userprofile%

in Run dialog box and press O.K. when Show hidden files, folders and drives checkbox is checked in File Explorer Options and look into the window that opens in File Explorer.

Do you see the AppData folder ?
