Surface Pro 3 - Build 14257 - Headphone Audio All Garbled
Audio is totally garbled (sounds as though there are channels missing and what is there is phasing in and out) while attempting to listen through my headphones (the headphones are fine - tested on several other devices and sound great). This happens regardless
of the program running - whether it's video or music. I don't recall this being a known issue with Build 14257 but perhaps I missed it? Is there a workaround or fix for this issue?

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. Let me help you to fix the issue.
Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. I would suggest you to run sound audio troubleshooter, it will automatically detect the problem and fix it. Follow the below method.
Press Windows key + R and click on
Click on View by: category and click on
Now click on troubleshooting and click on
Hardware and Sound.
Click on Playing Audio and Click on
Follow the onscreen instruction to complete the audio troubleshooter.
Also, I recommend you to install all the Windows update.
The Audio Playback Troubleshooter didn't help. It switched my audio driver to a generic Microsoft one and still the audio playback through my headphones is distorted and garbled to the point of being completely useless. Audio playback through the headphone
jack has always been crystal clear and great until this build (14257).
