I upgraded two PCs (Surface Book and HP Envy 17) with 14267 and applied all the firmware and other fixes available for the Surface Book. Hibernate had been working beautifully on both PCs with the previous build (14257). However, once I applied 14267 neither PC was able to return from hibernation.
The symptoms are simple: Put PC into hibernate, attempt to resume, PC "sticks" and refuses to resume. By sticking, I mean that the HP Envy has the HP logo (from the BIOS) shown on the screen and the Surface Book displays the Surface logo. The only solution is to reboot the PC. Sleep works properly, but I would prefer to use Hibernate when putting the Surface into a bag for travel.
I reverted the Surface Book to 14257 and Hibernate started to work again. However, the forward-facing camera doesn't work after resuming from hibernation and has stopped Windows Hello working...
I used powercfg to disable and enable hibernation again using 14267 and that didn't do any good.
Any suggestions?
