Printing from Microsoft Edge

Hi all

I hope I am in the right place.

After installing Windows 10 and Edge yesterday, I am unable to print from the web. This may be a stupid, easy fix but I cannot find it.  I have tried from several different sites not only using my actual printer, but also trying to print to PDF. The message I receive is:

"We couldn't reach the printer. Make sure the printer is on and you are connected to the printer's network, or try a different printer"

Btw.. the culprit on my end is an Officejet 8600. I can print from IE. Printing from Edge however produces the same result you're getting. Also, it put up a message "there's an app available for your printer". Okay great. Installed it. It sees the printer and shows the ink level even, but will not send a print job to it.

I can't even find how to tell Edge to print.  Nor can I add a toolbar.  Is it just me or does Edge suck bigtime - another Microsoft fiasco that we are becoming so accustomed to.  What can they be thinking of?  I was AV Director at a major resort and often had to help groups figure out how to use their own software, and I would ask myself how I would set things up if I were the programmer.  This was more difficult with Apple software as things were never where one expected them to be, but I thought I had Microsoft down pat.  The logic here defies me though.

I couldn't find a print icon and right clicking doesn't offer a print option but CRTL P works for me.

I am also unable to print from Edge. If I click on the three dots on the top right and select "open with internet explorer, I am then able to print.
