Does anyone get this error message when trying to play a video on Media Player Classic, and is there anyway to get rid of it?

Thank you for your interest in using Windows 10 Technical Preview. Sorry to hear that you have an issue with running Windows Media Player.

The issue might be due to settings on the Windows Media Player. Let’s reset the setting of Windows Media Playerand check if that helps.

Turn off, turn on Windows Media Player and check the issue status:

a. Windows key+ W key go to settings.

b. Enter “Turn Windows feature on or off” and press enter.

c. To turn a Windows feature on, select and expand Media Features,

d. Clear the check box next to the Windows Media Player, Click on Ok, restart the computer

e. To turn a Windows feature on, select the check box check box next to the Windows Media Player. Click OK, restart the computer.

when I turn off wmp, I try to open video file on other player, just show look like picture above. Then, when I turn on wmp, I try to open video file on other player, nothing change, still show the picture. When I try to open with wmp,wmp being force close. I cant play any game on desktop too..

Let's run the DISM tool and check if that helps in fixing the issue.

Refer to “Run the DISM tool” section. Please ignore the thread title The  steps referred in the following link are applicable to Windows 8.1 as well.

that should solve the issue.

I have used DIMS, not solve

I have use update Direct X, back to normal but for temporary, after I reboot, it's going back to before

The OP has not explicitly expressed any interest in using Windows 10 Technical Preview. Instead he has a problem with Media Player Classic NOT Windows Media Player. Also from the screenshot he posted it is crystal clear the problem lies with DX9 so it is next to impossible that he is using Win10. Next things is, at the end, you are asking him if the information you provided is helpful. How difficult is it for you to understand that any information that is irrelevant to the posted issue, cannot and will not be, no mater how hard you try, "helpful". One last thing: Why is it that in this forum, MOST "microsoft" (MVPs, etc) people are either clueless, or totally useless in what they are supposedly trying to do. And btw, is Microsoft, monitoring this forum and especially what some people, who claim to be associated with Microsoft, are actually writing. Some stuff is pretty laughable but also very dangerous also. Well, just wondering ...
