Facebook in Microsoft Edge under new 15002 Insider release

Just upgraded to 15002 and Facebook will not run under Edge. It starts to load and reloads

then shows an error page (reload etc...). Could be related to Flash problems mentioned in the release notes.

However this is a show stopper for me. a lot of my work is done in Facebooks Website not the crappy App or mobile.

In fact I constantly run IE, Edge and Chrome at the same time. All under different accounts. With Edge out of action (for now hopefully) I'll need to find another browser to work with and to be honest that was the only reason I used IE or Edge to begin with. Most of my work is still in Chrome...... I try and work with edge but it's just not enough for me yet....

Hi Alex,

For us to assist you effectively, kindly provide the information below:

  • What is the exact error message that you're getting? If you have a screenshot of the issue, attach it here so we can look at it for you.
  • Does this also occur with IE and other browsers or just Edge?
  • Have you tried to update the flash player of Edge?

Meanwhile, refer to the steps below and see if these can help:

Method 1:

1.Run the Windows app troubleshooter by following the steps on this link.

Method 2:

  1. Click the menu ••• at the top right corner and choose Settings
  2. Scroll down and click the View Advanced Settings button
  3. Scroll down to the Cookies section and set it as "Don't block cookies"

Method 3:

  1. Scan for damaged system files.  Right-click the Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).  In the Command Prompt window, type sfc /scannow and hit Enter.
  2. Reset your browser settings by going to Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced > Reset.  Then reboot Windows.
  3. Check for updates for Microsoft Edge within Settings.

Let us know how it goes.
