Windows 11: Microsoft all-in-one keyboard-mouse center issue.

Hi all,

The Microsoft all-in-one keyboard-mouse center, which I have been using for about two years, does not have a printscreen key on it. But a PrintScreen key is software assignable.

So I assigned Web/Home key to act as PrintScreen key.

This PrintScreen key works well in most cases. But recently I wanted to take a screenshot for Device Manager using this key.

Unfortunately, when Device Manager is open, this assigned PrintScreen key turns into its inner self and acts as its default Web/Home key and opens my default web browser ( Google Chrome ). I close Device Manager and this assigned PrintScreen key acts as the PrintScreen key.

Does anyone else have this issue ?

This issue was reported by FG way back when during

Windows 10 testing.

It also does the same thing with Task Manager.

Just curious if you tried it using WIN+PrntScrn button?

I have used the PrntScrn hot key toggle and it's

the same.

I think it's because they are different types of a

screen/window than say Settings.

Hi.

Sorry my assigned PrintScreen key works with Winkey ( Winkey + PrintScreen ). I forgot to write that.

I was trying to help a forum member saying wi-fi adapter was lost after upgrading to Windows 11.

I was trying to explain with screenshots: Open Device Manager > Expand Network adapters > Click View/Appearance tab > Click Show hidden devices

I wanted to take a screenshot when View/Appearance tab was open.

This was when I hit the issue of my assigned PrintScreen key that took its default job temporarily.

Regards
