Installed windows 10. Can't boot up after install. Screen blanks out, comes back sometimes. Keyboard and mouse do not register with Surface. Total failure. How can I recover?

Are you able to enter recovery mode? If not, try resetting your Surface using an USB recovery drive. You can learn how to create one at: http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/support/storage-files-and-folders/create-a-recovery-drive <edit> you can obtain recovery images from http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/support/warranty-service-and-recovery/downloadablerecoveryimage </edit>

My issue is the USB is now non functional due to the latest update.  I have a surface pro 1.  It registers the USB but wont initialize it.  My Surface Pro 1 is still under warranty, but when I contact Microsoft they tell me to contact the Windows 10 support folks.  Sadly I cant find anywhere to do so.  I just want to get into recovery but I CANT because there's no USB options now.  I'm bouncing back and forth and I don't know where to turn.  Sorry for the frustration, I manage a support center and do this for a living so it's frustrating when Microsoft bounces me back and forth and no one will take ownership of the issue.  So... if anyone is reading this and has any ideas for fixing my USB drivers for 9926 I am all ears
